George Brown, Kool and the Gang drummer and co-founder, dies aged 74
George Funky Brown, co-founder and drummer of Kool and the Gang, has died at the age of 74.
Brown co-wrote some of the band's biggest hits including Celebration, Ladies' Night, and Jungle Boogie.
He struggled with depression and prescription drugs, and retired in August. [ more ]
